THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS

CHAPTER 5: The Siege of Fort William Henry

The French and Hurons attacked the Fort For five days, until commanders decide to reach a truce. Heyward saw that one of the French had captured  Hawk-eye.

After this Heyward went to the General's room to talk to him. They spoke about Alice because Heyward is in love with her. Then they learned that Montcalm has a message from General Webb.

They went out of the Fort and walked to the French siege. Montcalm gave them the letter from General Webb, who said they wouldn't send reinforcements and that it was better that they gave up. Montcalm told that he would let them go alive if they surrender.

The next morning all the English go out of the Fort, when they arrive to the forest the Hurons attack them. Magua captured Alice and took her to the forest, but  Cora and Gamut followed him
